Hi all
I've decided to take an upgrade to DSLR, I am thinking about starting with the Canon 550D, the price has reduced since the 600D arrived which is almost identical apart from a flip out screen and a few additional creative modes. I dont think I will miss those features to be honest. Means I can save the extra cash for a decent lens.
Has anyone had any experience with 550D?
In the mean time I have listed my Panasonic Lumix TZ7 and its Marine case on Amazon marketplace. They were awesome on Meeru and I will miss them! If anyone wants the direct links to them let me know. Examples of pictures and video quality can be found in my trip reports...

Paul
The 550D stands up well in most of the reviews I've read about it. I've not had a go with one myself but recently upgraded to the 60D which I think shares some of the features of the 550.
I see it's selling for £500.50 on Amazon for the body only with £30 cashback, certainly seems like a bargain to me and also a great starting point in SLR world.

Thanks Lee, I think it will be the 550D I go for in the end. The more reviews I read point to it being a great starting DSLR. |
