Not really a trip report but some may find it interesting.

on New Years Eve Diane and I decided our New Years resolution would be something different so we decided that in 2012 we would complete a minimum of 100 mile of walking in short 5 mile bursts.

To record it all for prosperity I decided to start a blog, feel free to browse it:

Thanks Pamela.

We have a long way to go yet but I have yet to record Walk 5 which we did around Capel Curig on Saturday.

Its mad I know, we just wanted to do something different and we both like walking so why not share it. We have 8 followers already and a few people have done the walks themselves.

What a fabulous idea! I've just read Walk One - we're not too far from Ashford-in-the-Water and have enjoyed that walk ourselves. It was a while ago so it's time we repeated it! I think I'll pinch that resolution for next year Very Happy

Makes for a good read, plenty of info ie parking cafes etc

Now.... Capel Curig that place brings back memories of adventure training whilst serving in the Army....will never forget rock climbing / windsurfing in snow....

cheers

That was one of the reasons we did the walk around Capel Curig, for me to go over my youth..

It s a brilliant place for hiking
