OMG we have just gone in to our booking with Kuoni to find flight dates/times to boom our airport parking and instead of booking us to leave 5th May they've booked for 15th May I'm so mad I could cry!!!

Oh no Sarah what a nightmare! Have you got an email trail which proves that your booking should be for 5 May?

Nope gone and checked email and it is 15th we didn't even check because we had everything confirmed on the phone for 5th now they're saying its out responsibility to check so we will lose out deposit if we need to move our dates I am absolutely gutted and livid with Kuoni! Basically even if they listen to calls and they confirm we'd asked for 5th because we didn't check our booking its out fault

Would need to check with employer as hols booked!

Also this is a Wed leave meaning we'd get back on the Sun which is not ideal with work, we'd booked (or thought we had!) the Sun to Thurs so we had a few days recovery time from the flight.

They had a written emailed quote from H&J and they price matched it I don't understand how they've got this so wrong!

Do you have a copy of that email or can you get it from H&J?
Surely it's not your fault if they have read the date on the email wrong.

Just an update:

Kuoni can move our dates but there is no BV available so we have to go in to a JBV - bit gutted as I was really looking forward to seeing the refurbishments and also being close to the infinity pool, but we need to fly these dates really!

The cost had gone up loads but they met us halfway we ended up paying additional 331 - the upgrade to a JBV from BV is usually about 270 anyways so all in all we only had to pay 50 more. Just missed out on gatwick flights which would have meant we'd have only been 173 down but we are happy.

Also transferred our deposit which for us was the biggest sticking point!

Thanks for all your support and now we can continue our countdown wooooooo!

Have been waiting to see if Kuoni sorted it for you, and pleased that they did..it's horrible isn't it!!

We had an issue with them a couple of months ago, they wouldn't budge at first, but I was so adamant that I was right, I told them I would cancel the booking and go elsewhere even though I would loose the deposit....as have been with Kuoni over a dozen times on the past few years, they relented and backed down....result...but it's time consuming and stressful.

Glad you got it sorted in the end!

Glad you sorted yours too - I was the same - they came back and said that it was my fault as at the time if credit card booking (4th call) they confirmed to me 15th and I agreed - I said go back and listen to all the calls there is fault on both sides and that I wanted the deposit transferred - got there in the end!

Gutted we just literally missed the Gatwick flights though as it would have been 173 extra total for the JBV upgrade for the 10 days

And relax!
