Not completely surprising this....and beyond Thomson's control.

I'm not sure if anyone here was told they'd definitely be on a Dreamliner to the Maldives for the holiday they'd booked though?

I believe the Dreamliner flights to the Maldives were not scheduled until November anyway Jim. They surely must have all the problems sorted by then with this aircraft. Should have bought an Airbus Wink

I think you will see ripples of this into 2014. They have stopped all production now and every day adds weeks to delivery schedules.

We have booked to go to Mexico on the 31st December and chose this date as it was NOT advertised as a Dreamliner flight.

It appears from Thomson's twitter feed that they will be using 737's from across the whole of the TUI fleet, i.e. all their brands in Europe!

I do believe the 10 / 20 refund is a bit of a joke. For Mexico if we were to fly the day before, a Dreamliner flight, it was 300.00 per person more!

I appreciate that it is not Thomson's fault, but in usual TUI fashion they are handling this very badly.

We've been caught up in this one - we were due to fly back from Florida in May on the Dreamliner, in premium...but not now ! Apparently, if we stick with our booking and go premium in the substitute aircraft, we get 10 back and another 40 for the one way trip. Better that than to go on a dodgy aircraft. I guess these problems are going to cost Boeing BIG money.
