Hello from Vilamendhoo
We have been here 4 days now and despite a dodgy start weather wise it's been hot & sunny for the last few days now.
Vila really is like a mini Meeru and it all seems very familiar yet all so different.
As Jo has said we went on the Manta and turtle trip yesterday and saw both which was great however we did come across this chap on Monday on the house reef right in front of our room very exciting.
Yesterday evening was full moon dinner which was a smaller affair than on Meeru which you would expect but just as good, there were times when I forgot I wasn't on Meeru as it was held on the beach by the Asian wok.
Will try and post more before we leave and a proper trip repot on our return, currently having problems with Flickr as you can't copy the Bb code on an iPad anymore so have had to try a different site so hope the picture works |

Great updates many thanks. 
A few years now since we were at Vila (2011) great house reef and elements of Meeru for sure. Is Robin still at the Bonthi bar?....a great guy!

Not sure about Robin- not been to the Bonthi Bar too often. It is notable that fewer staff have long service badges here compared with Meeru. Have met lots of staff who have previously worked on Meeru and C&C do seem to ship their staff about a lot. Leaving today so no time to look out for Robin - damn that means I now have a task that requires my return!!!!!!! |
