Hi everyone,

first of all I'd like to say, that it's great to have a forum to discuss about Meeru Very Happy

Only 40 days till Meeru for us. I've got some questions and hope some of you could give me answers

1. We booked a Water Villa (503-529). Which room no. can you recommend?

2. What is the crown & champa resorts booth #59 at Malé Airport? Is it like a chill-out lounge?

3. Do you recommend bath shoes to enter the ocean? I've heard that there may be seashells...

Thank you.

All are excellent...they really are.

The booth is just that; a manned booth not a lounge. It's purpose is simply to confirm you've arrived, plus your details, prior to boarding you on the transfer boat to the island. You might have a small wait before that while other passengers get processed out of Customs (or perhaps if another plane has come in at a similar time to yours).

Jelly shoes/coral shoes are recommended because of the possibility of treading on coral fragments. Bare feet or even wearing socks - which I once tried - doesn't work in the sea. Walking with bare feet along the beach is generally OK provided you watch where you step.

Good morning everyone,

I've got another question.

Our departure will be 11pm from MLE Airport.
The transfer from Meeru to MLE will be at around 7pm.

Could anyone tell me if a Late-Check-Out is possible?
Should I write an e-mail 2-3 days before our arrival?

I think it would be nice if we could enjoy our last day at the beach and afterwards could take a quick shower in our room.

Hi Alen
All of the water villas are wonderful, you are guaranteed one of the best spots on the island
Regarding late check out, you won't be able to request this until the evening before departure as they won't have the next day's room allocations until then.
If it is possible because either your room category isn't fully booked or else the people taking your room are checking in late then they will oblige
I would expect the needs of the new arrivals would take priority

If you don't get late checkout there are showers available in the Dohni Bar toilets and Pavilion Bar toilets which you can use towels are provided, just remember depending how many people are on a late departure don't leave it till the very last minute or they might be in use.
