Hi,

I have some questions regarding the AI package:

1. Is it possible to take the 1,0 l bottled water to the beach?

2. Is it generally possible to take cocktails / drinks to the Water Villa / beach?

3. Are the cocktails also served in the restaurants during lunch / dinner?

4. How many kayaks are there for rent? Do you have to make a reservation? How long can you rent them? Is it possible to take a kayak and snorkel a little bit?

Hope you can answer some of these questions Laughing

Hi Alen
In answer to your questions

1). You can carry water anywhere at all with you.
2). You can take your drinks / cocktails anywhere also. And yes, we
have always taken a drink back to our room for the Jacuzzi Laughing
3). Yes, cocktails will be served by your waiter - they will bring to your
table for you.
4). There is never a wait for a kayak. There are plenty and you can have
them for a 1 - 2 hrs so you can definitely stop and have a little
snorkel.

I would also take snorkelling equipment with you as it is expensive to hire and you will use a lot.

You will have a wonderful time

Jill

Jellybean has posted a very good answer but in addition, please remember to take back any empty bottles to your room (we noticed some people littering) and also regarding the Kayaks, I believe you can take them out for 1 hour. On our recent visit in June there was an occasion where they were all being used and we were advised to book a time slot. We did have to sign a disclaimer to say that we would not get out of the kayak to snorkel before they would release one. Enjoy your trip

Thanks to both of you! Very Happy

@JillyBean: Is it possible to get 2-3 bottled water at once or does "beverage is served one glass at a time" rule also apply for water?
If so, could you just get 1 bottle, bring it to the beach/room and get right after that the next bottle?
I'm asking this because I really, really drink a lot water during the day Smile

Snorkeling equipment is already waiting to get packed Smile

Okay, so I assume they don't allow to take snorkel masks and flippers with you when you take the kayak out?

Alen, you should have no problem getting multiple bottles of water

I think taking your snorkel, mask and fins might give the game away Wink

You will never be more than a couple of minutes away from getting any kind of beverage.

In answer to Marka - there must have been a change since the new ownership of the watersports etc as before there wasn't any restriction.

Don't worry, you will have an amazing time

Jilly

It's interesting if slightly odd this kayak-snorkelling discussion.

TBH I don't see the point of trying to combine both activities as one is likely to impede the other to some extent. Mucking about with snorkelling gear on a kayak isn't terribly practical (especially if fins are involved). Oh and you do need to be safe - there are some places on the kayak routes where currents are strong and you can't snorkel.

If you want to snorkel just simply walk / swim to recommended areas from the beach in your own good time (preferably with a snorkelling "buddy"). If you want to kayak just give it a go separately.

Wise words from HJ, stay safe in water, I am a confident fairly strong swimmer
and find the currents a little scary at times

Hi, we're on Meeru at the moment.

Regarding the kayaks, we have had to book the 3 times we wanted to use them and today due to really bad weather we weren't allowed to take them out due to safely issues (fair enough)

Water, you get 4 bottles of water in your room, 2 in glass bottles and 2 in sealed plastic bottles. More is readily available anywhere.

We arrived on the 12th and up until today the weather had been amazing! (A little changeable yesterday but still lovely) today was quite bad very strong winds and bouts of heavy rain, (around the family and pool jetty area) although it was calmer and less windy where our Beach Villa is (200s, 400s & 500s)

Cocktails are available with all meals.
