I've heard lots of good reports about them. |

Now I'm torn......
I normally snorkel wearing contacts and have to stop as my mask starts to fill. A few weeks ago I investigated prescription masks and had decided to go for it and order a prescription mask this summer. Now I'm not sure whether to go for one of these. If they don't leak and give better visibility this could be the answer. Obviously prescription lenses isn't an option - even if it was my eyes require different correction.....decisions, decisions..... I just want to snorkel hassle free. Does anyone have any advice?? |

Oh wow - that looks soooo good. Keep us posted to how good it is to use and I think me and hubby will each be having one of those
Cheers

Well guess what.....
We went to B&Q after work tonight to buy a new toilet (we know how to live). Came home without a toilet but stopped off at Decathlon and purchased a pair of these superb masks. They feel fantastic on. Just need a little bit of Indian Ocean to try them out. |

It's been a while since my purchase. The masks are sitting quietly on the floor of the spare bedroom waiting for their first trip to the Maldives in October. Has anyone tried one out for real?
Wondering whether or not to take normal mask and snorkel - just in case.

I thought I'd answer my own question
Ian and I are currently on Vila and loving it. More later.......
The snorkelling is great and the tribord masks are fantastic. They really do work. No steaming up, normal breathing and wide visibility. We're getting strange looks from the other guests but that might not be because of the masks.
Importantly, I'm enjoying my snorkelling experience more than ever thanks to the new mask and I would definitely recommend one.

They're definitely catching on. Apart from our tribord masks, we've now seen another 6 of them- 4 on this island and 2 from another boat at the manta trip. Still think they're fab. Never steam up and no need to pretreat. I think the only limitation we've both come across is that if you need to breathe deeply/quickly you can find your air supply limited. Not what you want in deep, choppy water but great for a gentle amble along the house reef. The one way valve system which allows you to breathe normally whilst keeping moist exhaled air away from your viewing area seems to be the reason for the limited supply of air. This is very slight mind, and I would certainly still recommend one to anyone interested in a new mask for their next Holibob.

Does anyone have any more feedback on these? |

I bought my husband one for Christmas and we took it to Meeru last month - it's brilliant! My husband took his regular mask and snorkel with him in case he couldn't get along with the new full-face version. There was no need - his old mask and snorkel are now redundant.
I'm not usually a fan of snorkelling as I couldn't get along with the traditional style mask/snorkel, but now I've had a go with my husband's I'll be purchasing one for myself. A brilliant invention! We saw quite a few other people with them while we were on Meeru.
Well worth the money. |

They are a fantastic mask. It made snorkelling so much easier and the knock on effect of this, is its also much more enjoyable. Get one, you won't regret it! |

Right I'm all kitted out got my snorkelling mask and in decathlon flippers were very reasonable. Cheaper for the lot than hiring whilst we are there, and safe in the knowledge that they all fit the flippers I bought are pretty lightweight too 6 weeks to go.... |
