Do the rocks stay hot for a long time then?

It's a great concept by Meeru, always thinking of fresh ideas Very Happy

The stones will be hot through out your meal, helped by the ambient temperture of the location, even after we finnished our meal the stones where still very hot.

Nice one Pam, that food looked superb.

Like James, I would have gone for the big steak! But the idea of a selection is a good one.

Hello Pam,

I loved reading your 'Hot Rocks' report. The food sounded, and looked, delicious. It was possible to picture the whole experience and the setting.

The photos are gorgeous!

Thank you. All the best,

Well done, Pam

A great report and pictures to match. So nice to read about the new restaurant - another eating experience to try.

Very much like your style - keep it up.

Thanks so much for that great report. We'll definitely be giving that a go in May! The scampi in particular looks amazing!

It's still early days for this only relatively recently opened venue so like other restaurants we've seen on the island I expect the menu offerings will develop and evolve over time. I heard someone say it would be nice if there was a 'medley'¯ of meats option. I can see the sense in that. People who have not tried Ostrich or Kangaroo before, for example, might not be tempted to order a whole portion of either just in case they didn't like it. If you had a sampler option then you might tempt the less adventurous to try the unusual along with the more familiar.

We wanted to try the Hot Rocks at Vila but it was just a meal on the beach. No way the experience of Meeru.

I have tried both Ostrich or Kangaroo and they are very nice meats……..and no they do not taste like chicken. Wink

Medley…….fantastic idea. Spot on. Someone should suggest it, bit like a seafood platter.

Idea Idea Idea

Love the report, it looks worth a visit based on the shrimp you had as a starter... mmmm.

We have a place local to me that does hot rocks. Unfortunately it results in the entire place filling up with smoke and smells of burning fat Confused

No such problems in the open air on an island though Smile
