Following on from a couple of other threads, how about your favourite beach shots?

But not just Meeru, feel free to upload an image of any beach...the only "rule" is you must be able to see the sea AND the sand and preferably a daytime shot, there's aready a thread for sunset/sunrise Cool

I'll start the ball rolling....

This was taken last year at Irufushi and is definitely one of my favourite shots.

Gorgeous pic Lee Smile

This is one of my favourite beach shots from Meeru taken in 2008 on our honeymoon...

...and for contrast a shot from the very far side of the world.

This is a beach near Greymouth on New Zealand's South Island on the edge of the Tasman Sea.

A strange forest overlooks a strange beach of black volcanic sand dotted with pebbles and strewn with driftwood.

Both great shots Jim. The second one is very dramatic.

Great composition on the first one although personally I would've cloned out the two people in the top left corner Very Happy

From the cliffs overlooking Seaham beach, County Durham.

The above might look good made up to look old (sepia tinted) but that's probably enough beaches from me for now Smile .

This is my favourite photo taken last year. It gives a slightly misleading view of Cleethorpes beach as the tide comes in twice a day for approx 1-2hrs other than that you have quite a walk to dip your toes in freezing cold water as its so far off the shoreline on the main beach.

Yay my first photo posted (thanks HJ - followed instructions posted by you)

....and one from very close to home - Holkham Beach, North Norfolk coast.

This was taken in January last year...the next in June

Both beautiful in their own way - one considerably warmer than the other.

All gorgeous piccies Casey but LOVE the last one on the different angle - love interesting piccies like that!

I tried to do something on the last trip similar, looking through two trees in a triangle shape
