Bobby is right, there is a small cargo ship that has been intentionally sunk at West Rock, which is a 20min boat trip from Meeru.

Ocean Pro do this both in daylight and at night (and I've done both).

Yep there is a wreck at West Rock its at about 20mtr if my memory serves me.

Its not a great big wreck but its not bad. If I am honest, I didnt enjoy wreck diving, there is much more other stuff to see.

West Rock has an old fishing boat that was sunk some years ago as part of the plan to create or extend reefs. We both swam over and near as touched it as we dived on the site as part of our training. I went out there having never put a tank on and left a qualified scuba diver!!!
The boat is upright and you can see into the old fish part on the deck. The water was gin clear for us and I think the wreck is around 16-18 meters down. There was an amazing amount of aquatic life around it, so its worth looking into for sure.
I dont know of many or any other wrecks out there - just me that was a nervous wreck when I first stepped off the boat and into the water for the 1st time.
Watch out 007!!!

There is a wreck that the guys visit if the tides and currents are right just oustide the airport called the "Victory". I have dived it twice, a tough dive at the maximum depth allowed for the Maldives in a very strong current. The wreck is penertrable in places (galley)and in the bow section there some old radios and ciggie packets, the brief will tell you not to go into the bottom of the bow as it sits in almost 40mts. The last time we dived the Victory we also went to Bannana Reef which also a great site, full of colour.
