Hi all. Going to Meeru in only 1 week and have decided at the last minute I must have a waterproof camera after not having one last year. Ordered the GE G3WP from Argos at 115. Struggled to find any reviews on this so if anyone has any words of congratulation or condemnation then please speak now or forever hold your peace.

I'll let you know if its any good on our return. pale

Not sure on that camera, but we go in 1 week too Laughing Cool Laughing

We bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FT2 Digital Camera, seemed to get decent reviews but time will tell..

Hi dave, we have the canon powershot d10. Fantastic camera.
We used it for the first time on Meeru last year and we found it took great pics and video under water.
See you in 7 days!!

Sally that's great but was working to a budget. The budget was to spend as little as possible on the best camera. Not made of money like you lot.......need to save a little so I can begin my Sarong collection.

Yes Dave - we have the same camera as Sally & Paul and can only comment as I find, smashing little camera.

As for working to a Budget, you should be mega bucks in, now you were only able to bag a Garden Room Laughing So dig a little deeper Scrooge.

See ya in 7 days X

$30 is only 21 at most - and you can only wear 1 per day so thats only a cost of 290 overall - just Invest in a good Camera Laughing Laughing

Hi all. Back now and have extensively tested the camera.

So for 100 ish, you get a great little camera, with full underwater capability and 720hd video capabilty in and out of water, in AVI format.

As I'm no professional (not at photography anyway), I normally always do a bit of tweaking to arrive at the finished photo. A bit like they do with the photos of those women Gok keeps saying look good naked.

I've put a few photos below. This was a last minute purchase so we could at least get a few underwater photos and it was just the ticket.

There is really no point in going to Meeru where there is so much going on under the water without having the capability to record this in some way. With this camera you have no reason not to. I dont believe this is the one and only camera you should own if you have any sort of passion for photography, but it packs a good punch for its price. It's also a very nice, handy, slimline and lightweight number which you could slip inside your pocket.

As I mentioned it also does video and there is an example of the video capabilities if you follow this link. All the footage was taken with the camera around Meeru itself.
