The information on this link does not say anything about snorkling at the house reef! altough we were AIP and went once and were not charged.

That sounds good. So it means people can afford say a glass bottom boat trip instead. We enjoyed that last year.

Sadly we had our sunset trip and seaplane trip cancelled... but are going for 14 nights this time.... so hope to do them this time round.

As far as I am aware if you are AIP you can go every day if you want.

It wasn't for me but my husband went a few times xx

I read somewhere that you have to sign up very quickly now that it's free, someone had to wait a few day's to get on the trip. I hope that is wrong though Confused

They are doing two free trips a day to the house reef. I've just returned from Meeru and you could put your name on the list but it would be for a few days time. Surprised

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 weeks on Meeru.
I can confirm the house reef snorkling trips are free. I recommend you get your names down as soon as you arrive as they were booked up a full week in advance.

I did not see anything offering a whale shark trip when we were there. Also, sadly they were not offering the one day love boat trip during our stay due to all available boats being used for the free 2/3 day cruises.

Be interested to know whether the lesser known Two Reef snorkelling trip that the Dive Center do is affected in any way.

It's a fuller excursion (two reefs) and they go to different locations alternate days they do it, so for the keen you can visit four locations on two trips by picking the right days.

This is a paid for excursion, don't know the current pricing, but definitely a thrilling one for the keen snorkeller to consider.

the AIP seems quite good, We just had AI last year.

So these extras will be rather nice.

Noticed that the AIP also includes 24 hour afternoon tea. Does anyone know if it matters if you go to the Dhoni bar or Uthuru restaurant before 1am?

We will probably request a 700's location, but I think it would be nice if can go for afternoon tea in either bar.
