Hi everyone

I'm Nik. I live near Maidstone in Kent and I'm 24 ( til thursday )

I'm getting married in July next year and have just booked my Honeymoon at the Meeru Island for 7 nights.

We have booked the honeymoon villa, I say we but I mean I have as the "other half" has no idea where we are going.

This forum has been instrumental in my choice and I must say you all sound very friendly and helpfull. Please forgive me if I go over things that have already been covered at any time.

Anyone here stayed in the honeymoon villa's before?

Well, here goes 10 months of counting down to D-day lol. Shocked

we stayed in the honeymoon villas last feb, they are amazing - very private (although this was before the new JWV were built) - they have a huge living area, great bathroom, huge bedroom, front and back deck - and huge outdoor jacuzzi. Amazing. The only thing we didnt like was you were supposed to ring for the room boy to get you on and off the island - most of the time we just waded (between thigh and waist deep depending on tide) although in the evening after a shower we did ring for the boat. We felt guilty coming back though - when the room boy was woken at 1am to take us across and he was up doing breakfast at 6am ! Still we were v glad we had gone for the homeymoon villa for a one off special.
We are going back this feb, staying in a water villa.

Hi

thanks for that, we cant wait. Well, I say that cos the future "mrs" doesnt have a clue where we are going

I hear a lot of people saying they feel bad bout calling the room boy out. I guess its the "short straw" job. Shame they dont trust you just to take yourself to the villa and back really.

Hi Nick,

Our land villa was opposite one of the Honeymoon Villas. It is possible to walk out to the land villa without the water passing waste height at high tide, so if you really don't want to wait for the room boy to row over you could walk across tha lagoon. We saw the people who were staying there do this a couple of times.
