Hi all, we are looking forward to our 3rd visit in January 2016. We were last there in 2011. I've read one of the reports that the tide now goes out so there is no water under the Asian Wok sometimes. Does anyone know what time of year this is? Love watching the sun go down dangling our feet over the edge of the Wok - won't be the same if there is no water underneath!!

Recent posts have said it's returned. Even when it's not underneath it's so close that from a dangling position all you see is sea. I posted the pictures of it missing and it made no difference to our dangles compared with previous visits.
Enjoy!

We were there last night. When we arrived at 7pm there was only sand but by the time we left (around 11pm I think) the water was lapping underneath the restaurant itself although it was no where near the jetty.

To start with, I am dead jealous you were there last night!
I'm still looking forward to a glass of Tiger beer watching the sun go down, but I will miss watching the reef sharks chasing the shoals of fish round and round in circles!
Have an amazing rest of your holiday and thank you for taking time out to reply.
Can't wait until we are there too...........

The Tiger beer has been replaced with Lion beer but I'm honestly not sure I could tell the difference! Am happy to answer any questions whilst I'm here. Now there's free wifi it's so much easier - last trip it had to be a visit to the Internet cafe to go online so I didn't do any 'live posts'.

We're here now, and have the Asian Wok booked dinner for tonight yay! We had sunset cocktails there last Saturday and there was water all around albeit maybe not as deep as last time we came in 2010, it's all still beautiful.

Have to say tho we have spent most of our sunsets at the new Dhoni bar, as that is equally as beautiful Very Happy Very Happy and the service is fantastic! X

+1 for the Lion beer, most refreshing Smile

Sleet and cold heavy winds here in sunny Buckinghamshire.
